ARTIST’S PROJECT: HONG KONG ATLAS

by Zoran Poposki*

Hong Kong Atlas traces locations described in Dung Kai-cheung’s novel Atlas: The Archaeology of an Imaginary City—set in a fictional world similar to Hong Kong—onto psychogeographically matched and digitally photographed sites in Hong Kong. Having undergone multiple translations, the images combine archival pigment prints and acrylic screen-prints on canvas.
